Pershing 7X Walkthrough: 50 Knots of Carbon Fiber Italian Theater
A full walkthrough of the Pershing 7X, the carbon fiber 70 footer that Pershing lists at 50 knots flat out, with surface drives and three cabins below.
Nobody buys a Pershing by accident. The brand has spent decades building the fastest-looking boats in the marina and then making them go even faster than they look, and the 7X is the modern center of that argument. We filmed a 2025 example stem to stern, and the walkthrough captures what the spec sheet cannot: the way this boat makes a 70 foot yacht feel like a piece of sports equipment.
The X Generation formula
Pershing builds the 7X in carbon fiber, which is the first domino. Less weight lets twin MAN V12 1800 horsepower engines push through surface drives to a top speed Pershing lists at 50 knots, with cruise at 42. The builder's sheet puts it at 21.11 meters overall, about 69 feet, on a 5.35 meter beam, with a 1.52 meter draft that keeps the skinny anchorages in play. Designer Fulvio De Simoni drew the lines, and the design has that rare quality where the boat reads as fast sitting still. A dynamic positioning system holds station at the push of a button when wind and current pick up, which is a superyacht trick arriving at 70 feet.
Living at 42 knots
The clever part of the 7X is that the speed does not cost the yacht. The main deck lounge opens at the front with windows that let air pour through, and a dark glass sliding roof turns the salon into something close to an open boat when the weather cooperates. Below, three cabins and three heads handle an owner's family, with a crew cabin aft to keep the boat turnkey. Big rectangular portholes push light into the lower deck in a way older Pershings never managed. The walkthrough spends time on the finish work because this generation of Pershing interiors deserves the attention, all clean surfaces and quiet materials where older fast boats shouted.
The buyer this boat is for
Owners who count minutes to the islands, who want drama at the dock and a real yacht underneath it. The 7X has very few true rivals at this size and speed, and the video makes the case better than any brochure. Watch the running footage first, then rewatch the interior pass, because the trick of this boat is that neither half feels like the compromise.
