Boater's Guide to Marinas in Orange Beach and the Alabama Gulf Coast
From Dauphin Island to Perdido Pass, seven verified Alabama Gulf Coast marinas for slips, dry storage, fuel, and yard work, each checked against the marina's own website.
Ask a Gulf boater about Alabama and the answer is usually a grin. The state's short run of coastline packs in a remarkable amount of water: the Intracoastal Waterway sliding behind the beach towns, Wolf Bay and Cotton Bayou branching off it, Perdido Pass putting Orange Beach minutes from blue water, and the broad, shallow sweep of Mobile Bay reaching north to the city that named it. Charter fishing is the signature act here, and the marina scene is built around it, with dry stacks that turn a center console around fast, fuel docks sized for a fleet, and restaurants where the afternoon's catch comes off the boat and onto a plate. The season runs long, the summer crowds are real, and the smart move is lining up a slip or a rack before you need one.
Waypoint lists 23 verified marine pros in Alabama, every listing checked against the business's own website before it went live. Here are seven marinas from the storage side of the directory, running west to east.
The marinas
Dauphin Island Marina, Dauphin Island. At the bottom of Mobile Bay, this full service marina runs 90 wet slips and 140 dry slips with high volume gas and diesel pumps, trailered boat storage, pontoon rentals, charter bookings, and a waterfront restaurant. A dockside bait shop handles the morning's needs on the way out, and boat cleaning and maintenance are available when you get back.
Dog River Marina, Mobile. A full service marina and boatyard on Dog River with 75 slips, sheltered dockage, a 70 ton travel lift, and a fuel dock, plus dedicated departments for engine and generator work, fiberglass repair, canvas, and electronics installation. When a Mobile Bay boat needs real yard time, this is where it hauls out.
Barber Marina, Elberta. In the Wolf Bay and Intracoastal Waterway area between the beach towns and the back bays, Barber pairs concrete floating docks with a 400 slip dry storage building for boats up to 42 feet. Gas and diesel fuel, pump-out, a ship store, 24 hour security, and a full service boat yard with factory trained technicians round out the campus.
The Wharf Marina, Orange Beach. The marina at The Wharf entertainment district puts more than 200 floating slips on the Intracoastal Waterway, with annual slip leases, dockside power and water, a high speed diesel and non-ethanol gas fuel dock, and a pump-out facility. It also hosts the annual Wharf Boat and Yacht Show, which makes it a natural first stop for anyone shopping the local scene.
Orange Beach Marina, Orange Beach. A protected harbor near Perdido Pass with covered and open slips, transient dockage, a dock store, a charter fleet, and on-site yacht repair and brokerage partners, so a slip here comes with help close at hand when something breaks. The marina hosts tournaments and offers dockside dining too.
Zeke's Landing Marina, Orange Beach. On Cotton Bayou, Zeke's combines dry boat storage with a large charter fishing fleet, a dock store, an event venue, and a waterfront restaurant, plus dolphin cruises and jet ski rentals for the part of the crew that stays ashore.
Safe Harbor Sportsman, Orange Beach. The Canal Road marina offers wet slips to 72 feet, transient slips, and dry storage for boats to 40 feet, backed by a fuel dock and a full service yard handling engine, electrical, and paint work with Mercury and Yamaha certifications, which matters on a coast where outboards do most of the heavy lifting.
Every listing above was checked against the marina's own website, and the Verified badge on a Waypoint profile means the owner personally claimed and confirmed it. Browse the full lineup on the northern Gulf storage and marina page, and save the ones that fit your boat to My Plan so the whole shortlist sits on one page. If you are hunting a specific slip size, a dry stack quote, or a haul-out date before a storm window, post it to In Search Of and let matching pros on the Alabama coast come to you.
