Welcome aboard the 377-foot superyacht ‘AHPO’, the superyacht that tends to grab hold of all the attention in bays and marinas all around the world.

Built and delivered in 2021 by the world-renowned German shipyard Lürssen—AHPO sets herself apart in the superyacht realm with her exceptional design and beyond-luxurious amenities.

The project was commissioned by Michael Lee Chin, a repeat client with a history of owning Lürssen yachts. This remarkable vessel was inspired by the previous vessels in his collection but with a Caribbean ambiance. However, AHPO is more than just an improvement of Quattroelle which he previously owned, it’s an entirely different world inside and outside, designed for a family-centric lifestyle, seamlessly blending opulence and practicality.

But, what makes this yacht so special?

Today, we take a closer look at AHPO. We will admire her breathtaking exterior, delve into the interior, and explore all the luxurious amenities found aboard the $354 million superyacht that frequently ends up in the spotlight.

Exterior

“The boat is magnificent inside and outside because it is not just an improvement on Quattroelle, but it is an entirely different world inside and outside,” says interior designer Valentina Zannier of Nuvolari Lenard.

The construction of AHPO reunited owner Michael Lee Chin with the design firm Nuvolari Lenard, the Lürssen shipyard, and Moran Yacht & Ship—the same team behind the 86-meter Quattroelle, delivered in 2013. Moran had previously sold the Jamaican-born Canadian businessman and philanthropist the 58.5-meter Capri in 2003, which he enjoyed for five years before creating Quattroelle.

Nuvolari Lenard, the acclaimed Italian design firm based in Venice, was tasked with both the exterior and interior. Their portfolio features design excellence like Nord, Centerfold, and Quattroelle. Nuvolari’s recognizable DNA is evident in AHPO’s sleek and sophisticated silhouette, forming an exterior that stands out in marinas and bays worldwide.

AHPO’s streamlined profile, marked by an elegant bow and a graceful aft sweeping superstructure, is visually captivating. But beyond its visual appeal, the bow is thoughtfully designed with practicality in mind, featuring a helipad for seamless departures for mainland excursions and doubles as extra space for sunbathing, activities, and water toy storage.

The outdoor spaces offer numerous ways to enjoy nautical getaways. Whether starting the morning with yoga on the deck, kayaking in the afternoon, or soaking up sunset views from the hot tub—every mood, occasion, need, and want is catered to. One of the many standout features and popular amenities among charter guests is the spacious and equally beautiful beach club and spa at the surface level offers relaxation unmatched by many five-star hotels.

Her expansive deck areas provide an abundance of seating, sun pads, and dining spaces, perfect for sun-drenched hours and al fresco meals. One of the most unique features is the aft dining area, where an abundance of greenery form a beautiful winter garden, which is the owner’s most appreciated area of the vessel. These seating arrangements and social gathering spots provide the perfect setting to have casual breakfasts, lunch breaks, or intimate dinners under the stars—always connected to the beautiful surroundings of your anchorage.

Interior

“We have thousands of materials, different woods, different kinds of GRP, paint, alloy, cable trays—so many cable trays—and also in the interior, so many different kinds of stones, woods, carpets, mother-of-pearl, and wallpaper, it’s unbelievable, and I guess not countable,” says Tanja Peters, project manager at Lürssen.

Walk through any of the expansive glass doors and unveil superyacht interior design excellence, where contemporary luxury meets natural beauty in a beautiful symphony. AHPO’s interior is inspired by nature, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere throughout the entire vessel.

This atmosphere is especially evident as you descend the central staircase, a standout feature that the German shipyard marked as one of the yacht’s most significant achievements. The staircase encircles an elliptical sculpture, with a central column adorned with delicate crystal feathers appearing to fall gracefully to the floor. The steps feature backlit calacatta marble, leather, and Tai Ping silk carpeting.

Nuvolari Lenard utilized natural materials such as rich woods, marble, and onyx, adding warmth and sophistication. These materials together with the custom-designed furniture and artworks are illuminated by natural light from the expansive windows on all decks. Combined with high ceilings, these windows also create an airy ambiance and connect guests to the sea.

Enter the main saloon, marked by geometric bronze designs over backlit calacatta marble, and find social seating areas, a grand piano, and a bar—ideal for entertaining and social gatherings after a day under the sun. The dining room, adorned with a stunning water lily theme, offers a beautiful setting to wrap up the day with an intimate family dinner crafted by the chef.

The heart is the owner’s deck, where the split-level, full-beam owner’s suite is decked out in pink and cream colors. Two en suites—one pink blossom, the other black and gold—contain elaborate gold baths, showers, and walk-in dressing rooms. Directly behind are the twin daughters’ suites. The three family bedrooms share access from a central lobby. This level also houses the informal salon, with access to the sweeping aft deck featuring al-fresco dining, sun pads, sofas, and two bars.

The sky lounge deck provides a state-of-the-art gym that allows guests to work out while enjoying panoramic ocean views. On the lower deck, the wellness area includes a massage room, a Himalayan salt sauna, and a Turkish-style hammam with intricate mosaics and ivory onyx details.
