Ducari 37 XIV Walkthrough: A Power Catamaran With a Spaceship Helm
A full tour of the Ducari 37 XIV, the luxury power catamaran with twin Mercury V-12s, a three-screen command center, and a walk-in garage you have to see to believe.
Every so often a new builder shows up and decides the rulebook is optional. Ducari is one of those. The 37 XIV is a luxury power catamaran, which already puts it in rare company, and then the brand piles on details that most 37 footers would never attempt: a helm it calls a spaceship, a lockable walk-in storage garage, and finish work aimed at yacht buyers rather than day boaters. We took the cameras through the whole boat, and the in-depth walkthrough shows how much is packed into the twin hulls.
The numbers under the style
Ducari lists the 37 XIV at 37 feet 1 inch with a 13 foot 8 inch beam, and that beam is the catamaran dividend. It is a lot of deck for 37 feet, and the layout spends it on a wraparound bow lounge, an entertainment island with a sink and ice bin, and a swim platform that would flatter a bigger boat. Power is twin Mercury 600 V-12 outboards against a 1,200 horsepower maximum rating, feeding on a 510 gallon fuel supply. Draft is listed at 3 feet 5 inches, which keeps the shallow anchorages open. Below, there is a finished cabin with berthing for two, so an overnight is on the menu rather than off it.
That helm
The walkthrough spends real time at the helm because it is the boat's signature. Ducari fits its IntelliTouch command center with three 22 inch Simrad multi-touch displays in a single sculpted sweep, and the effect in person is closer to a modern flight deck than a fishing console. Everything from systems to navigation lives on glass. Pair that with air-conditioned helm seating and a leather-wrapped wheel and you start to understand the audience: owners who want catamaran stability and efficiency without giving up a single luxury cue. The walk-in garage deserves its own mention too. It is a lockable storage room on a 37 foot boat, the kind of space most owners this size only dream about, and the video shows how much gear actually disappears into it.
Who should watch closely
If you have been circling big center consoles but keep wishing for more beam, more stability at rest, and more wow at the dock, the 37 XIV is aimed directly at you. It is also a genuinely interesting entry in the power cat wave that keeps gathering speed in Florida.
