In early March this year, the renowned Taiwanese shipyard announced its latest addition, the Ocean Alexander 35 Puro, which would debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show one month later. This 113-foot model generated significant interest both at the announcement and during the four-day event in Palm Beach.

“The response at the Palm Beach boat show was incredible, not only from the public but also from our current owner network and the industry in our peer group. Heard again and again was ‘incredible design’ and ‘unsurpassed execution,’ which is always great to hear, but more humbling when it comes from your competition,” says Dan Mundy, President of Ocean Alexander.

Following this successful debut, Ocean Alexander proudly announced that hull number 1 had been acquired by seasoned yacht enthusiasts from Florida by the end of June.

Exterior

The shipyard’s vision has been realized spectacularly. At first glance and on the first cruise, it’s not specific features that stand out but the overall impression. The collaboration between Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and naval architect Andrea Agrusta of NavalHEAD has resulted in a yacht that balances pristine entertaining spaces, a sleek profile, and excellent seaworthiness.

The yacht’s tall, powerful look comes from an uninterrupted 11-meter upper deck that runs from bow to stern, shading the main deck cockpit and creating the illusion of a longer, sleeker vessel. Scattered throughout the exterior are amenities that enhance the sea experience, from plush sofas and sunbeds on the bow to alfresco dining arrangements on the aft.

The 35 Puro offers 56 square meters of sundeck space and 18.5 square meters dedicated to a beach club, which can also serve as a garage for water toys and jet skis.

Interior

As you step inside, the essence of the Italian saying comes to life. The interior exudes timeless elegance, featuring fine leather upholstery, detailed stitching, and exclusive finishes.

For the 35 Puro model, Ocean Alexander partnered with Poltrona Frau, the renowned Italian furniture company known for high-end furnishings found in the world’s most exclusive homes. The stylish sofas, accessories, and other furniture integrate seamlessly with the yacht’s sleek, modern lines. The color palette ranges from cream and light brown to light blue, complemented by stainless steel details, creating a serene and sophisticated ambiance.

These stylistic features extend throughout the Ocean Alexander 35 Puro. The yacht boasts five cabins, including a master cabin and four guest cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The three crew cabins are also notably spacious, each with a private bathroom.

Hull No.1 Sold

Three months after its debut in Palm Beach, on June 29, the Taiwanese shipyard announced the sale of hull No.1. Facilitated by Scott Roberton of Marine Max Clearwater, the inaugural hull was purchased by seasoned yacht enthusiasts from Florida, former owners of a 95′ Sunseeker.

Commenting on the sale, Roberton says: “The new owners saw the 35 Puro at Valentines Marina during the OA Rendezvous in Harbour Island, Bahamas. The stunning profile and exterior design initially caught their interest. They toured the 35 Puro extensively in Fort Lauderdale after returning from their vacation and found the interior layout, design, and style to be exactly what they wanted for their next move up.”

He continues: “They were further impressed with the fine details and finishes throughout the yacht, the well-outfitted galley, the functional yet stylish design, and the numerous exterior lounge areas from bow to stern.”

Nautical Network is excited to report that the new owners will moor the first sold unit in our hometown, Tampa. When not moored, the owners plan to spend their summers exploring the Keys, the Bahamas, the BVIs, and the northeastern shores of the U.S.
