Exterior

With the 28 Molokai, Aquila Power Catamarans significantly impacted the fishing world, showcasing their commitment to high-performance open catamarans. The new 47 Molokai elevates this standard, boasting impressive dimensions, unmatched performance, and exceptional seaworthiness. This model will make even bigger waves in the big-game fishing scene.

The Aquila 47 Molokai, crafted by renowned naval architect Chris Peart of Peart Yacht Design, showcases a striking evolution from its predecessor. While maintaining some familiar elements, this model has a sleeker, more aggressive profile. The bows are less vertical, giving the vessel a more dynamic and sporty appearance. With an overall length of 49 feet and a beam of 14 feet 7 inches, this catamaran offers ample space for sunbathing and serious fishing.

Bow

At the bow, you’ll find ample seating for socializing and practicality. This area features triple sunbeds and a large sofa, perfect for lounging and enjoying the view. Beneath these seats, storage is provided, catering to the needs of both casual outings and serious fishing trips. The flush design of the bow area keeps essential equipment like the windlass neatly hidden, maintaining an uncluttered space ideal for fishing activities.

Integrated into the deck are four substantial fish boxes, each stretching six feet along the sides of the cockpit. These boxes, equipped with macerator pumps, offer storage for even the largest catches, ensuring you have everything needed for a day of fishing.

Cockpit

Stepping into the cockpit, the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship strikes you. The helm serves as the command center of the boat, equipped with state-of-the-art Raymarine electronics, C-Zone digital switching, and a custom-tuned Fusion audio system. These systems control all amenities, from lighting and air conditioning to the well pumps and seating adjustments.

The cockpit features seven stadium-style seats arranged to ensure everyone has an unobstructed view forward. Each seat is thoughtfully equipped with features such as phone charging points and dual rows of air conditioning vents, enhancing the overall experience whether navigating or simply enjoying the ride.

Last but not least, the fold-out rear transom seats on both the starboard and port sides offer extra seating, perfect for relaxing after a day on the water. For those who enjoy underwater activities, the giant slide-out ladders, hidden between the engines, provide easy access to the water for snorkeling or diving.

Rear Cockpit

The rear cockpit area of the Aquila 47 Molokai maximizes the use of its 14′ 7″ beam, offering generous space perfect for entertaining and serious fishing alike. The unit we explored is equipped with a summer kitchen that includes dual refrigeration, an electric cooktop, a sink with hot and cold water, tackle drawers, a trash can, and an ice maker. This setup can be swapped for additional seating options.

This area is fully outfitted for fishing, featuring 12 rod holders and a rear-facing Raymarine screen, ideal for navigating reefs. The carbon fiber hardtop, complete with Gemlux outriggers, allows adding a tuna tower, enhancing the boat’s fishing capabilities. Furthermore, this area provides live wells and double tuna doors.

Interior

“Through extensive market research within the sport fishing industry, working with the Peart Yacht Design team along with fishing experts, taking in customer feedback, and working with our partners like MarineMax, we were able to bring to life a design that not only offers exceptional fishability and offshore performance but luxury accommodations for family and friends as well.’’ — Jean Raas, Product Development Director of Aquila.

The interior of the Aquila 47 Molokai is a blend of luxury and practicality, designed to cater to both fishing enthusiasts and families looking for comfort. The cabin is accessible via the cockpit door or the gullwing at the bow. Inside, a spacious and inviting cabin awaits, decorated in a light color palette featuring blue textiles and light oak finishes.

The cabin boasts a queen-sized berth with ample space around it. Natural light floods the space through large portholes and skylights, enhancing the airy feel. The interior headroom of 6 feet 7 inches ensures comfort for most passengers. The cabin also includes an enclosed head with a shower, providing all the amenities needed for extended trips. The air conditioning, powered by lithium batteries, can operate for up to eight hours, keeping the cabin cool and comfortable.
