Onboard M/Y Time Out: Touring the 2025 Mangusta Oceano 39
We board Time Out, a 2025 Mangusta Oceano 39, for a full tour of Overmarine's 128-foot displacement superyacht: five cabins, twelve guests, and ocean-crossing range.
Mangusta made its name on fast open yachts, which makes the Oceano line the interesting plot twist: a family of long-range displacement superyachts from a builder famous for speed. Time Out is a 2025 Mangusta Oceano 39, and stepping aboard her is the best argument for the line we have filmed yet. This is a proper superyacht with volume, range, and a beach-level relationship with the water, and the full tour takes you through all of it.
The shape of a 39 meter idea
Overmarine lists the Oceano 39 at roughly 39.2 meters, about 128 feet, with an 8.5 meter beam and around 324 gross tons of interior volume. The exterior lines come from Alberto Mancini working with Overmarine's own team, and the construction pairs a composite hull with a carbon fiber superstructure to keep weight where a seakeeping naval architect wants it. Accommodations run to twelve guests across five cabins with a crew of seven, which is charter-grade capability in a yacht an owner family can still feel at home on.
Built to stay out
The Oceano brief is range, and the spec sheet delivers it. Overmarine offers two MTU engine options, twin 1,700 horsepower or twin 2,600 horsepower, and lists range at about 2,050 nautical miles at 10 knots. Stabilizers work at anchor and underway, which matters because this is a yacht designed to spend its life at anchorages, not marinas. In the walkthrough, notice how much of the design pushes guests toward the water: the aft deck steps down generously, and the main deck spaces open wide to the outside. It is a crossing-capable boat that never feels like a ship.
What Time Out shows about the breed
Every Oceano 39 gets customized, and Time Out wears an interior that balances warm woods against big glass. Watch the master suite segment and the galley tour in particular. The space planning is where a 39 meter with an 8.5 meter beam separates itself from the sleek 130 footers that trade volume for profile. The crew spaces are worth your attention as well, because a seven-person crew that can work without crossing guest areas is what makes a yacht this size feel effortless to the people aboard it.
