THE ROLE:

The primary role of a Business Development Manager is to build a pipeline, outreach to prospective clients, work the deal, and finalize the deal. This multifaceted position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize CRM, cold calls, email and social DMs to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Apply effective closing techniques to convert opportunities into sales. Work closely with the client through the decision-making process to overcome objections and finalize agreements.
  • Held accountable to a quarterly and annual quota
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of Business Development experience with a track record of exceeding targets and achieving goals
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
  • Proven expertise with timeline management and impeccable communication
  • A sparkling personality that will mesh well with the existing Surroundings Group family

WORK SCHEDULE:

You must be able to commit to a full-time work schedule, which is a minimum 40 hours per week during 9:30am-5pm EST business hours Monday-Friday, and work from our Tampa, FL office. Must be open to working weekends and travel at times.
