Amanda’s story begins in Brick, New Jersey, a small town known for its serene beaches, rich history, and close-knit community. Though her hometown holds a special place in her heart, her confidence and driven nature led her to seek new opportunities in warmer climates, choosing to pursue her education at the University of Tampa in Florida.

Those who know Amanda aren’t surprised by her career path—a blend of creativity and relationships. At UT, she earned a BA in Advertising and Public Relations, another in Design, and an MA in Social and Emerging Media. This diverse academic background reflects her early passion for media and her determination to excel in a field she had envisioned from a young age.

Amanda’s dream of working in media began as a child, with aspirations of becoming an editor or designer for Cosmopolitan Magazine. This vision fueled her passion, eventually leading her to Nautical Network, which we’re proud to be her first professional home in the marketing and media industry.

Outside work, she enjoys a well-rounded life filled with friends and her dog, exploring Tampa’s restaurant scene, and reading. She also has a hidden talent for interior design, a skill she’s quick to mention with a smile.

Amanda’s professional journey began with Surroundings Group and Nautical Network, where she was given the chance to bring her academic knowledge and creative instincts to life. She started as a Social Media Coordinator and quickly advanced to Head of Social Media, a role she earned by actively embracing the challenges and opportunities that came her way.

Reflecting on her time as Head of Social Media, she shares, “I successfully built a team of six coordinators, established processes, and took charge of overseeing, educating, and elevating the team. This role enhanced my leadership skills, deepened my business understanding, and expanded my marketing expertise.”

This solid foundation prepared Amanda for her current role as Sr. Account Manager, a position she pursued out of a desire for deeper client engagement, ongoing professional growth, and new challenges.

Currently, she oversees all client communication, ensuring the seamless execution of social media strategies—from planning and coordinating content shoots to managing and mentoring social media coordinators. She is dedicated to aligning strategic objectives with client needs, delivering timely services, and fostering strong client relationships.

When asked about her motivation, she explains, “Seeing client satisfaction and successful creative execution drives me. I thrive on organizing projects efficiently and using data-driven insights to craft and refine working strategies. The combination of creativity, client satisfaction, and tangible results fuels my passion.”

She acknowledges the difficulties inherent in her role, such as maintaining organization, ensuring clear communication between our brand and clients, and managing internal handoffs. Yet, she views these challenges as opportunities for personal and professional growth rather than as obstacles.

When asked about her approach to overcoming these challenges, Amanda explains that her innate curiosity drives her to uncover the root causes of problems—something that allows her to ensure clear information handoffs and successfully delivered projects.

“I believe the best way to overcome obstacles is through continuous learning and adaptation. By staying open to feedback and actively seeking improvement, I can enhance my skills and ensure ongoing success,” she shares.
