How to Boating Becomes The Safety Divison of Nautical Network

Tampa Bay, August 22, 2024

How to Boating x Nautical Network

Nautical Network is thrilled to officially announce our partnership with How to Boating!

As a trusted name in the industry, we recognize our responsibility beyond entertaining our audience with stunning vessel content—a responsibility and an obligation to educate and promote safer boating. By joining forces and making HTB the safety division of our brand, we take the first significant step toward a safer boating environment.

Brandon Chapman

“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with How To Boating, the Safety Division of Nautical Network, perfectly aligning with our mission to advance the boating industry and promote safer waterways. This collaboration strengthens the value we offer to our clients by integrating our brand’s platform with How To Boating, creating new opportunities and setting higher standards across the industry.” — Brandon Chapman, President at Nautical Network

The formation of this partnership is no coincidence. Through our relationship with Harley Hunt, founder of How to Boating, we discovered a brand and an individual whose experience, character, and visions perfectly aligned with our own brand visions and standards—thus naturally shaping the partnership.

Harley Hunt brings a wealth of experience to our partnership. His extensive experience as a captain broadens our knowledge and provides a valuable perspective from someone who has been behind the helm for years. Furthermore, similar to how Nautical Network started from a single Instagram account, HTB has grown and made a significant impact online with its short, easy-to-consume videos—acknowledging his understanding of social media dynamics.

What’s to Come

The partnership means that we will handle the media side of How to Boating, which is now integrated as a safety division within our expansive ecosystem of maritime brands. Together, we will pursue our shared vision of promoting safer boating by creating and distributing educational and informative content across multiple channels to maximize our reach.

At the same time as we’re celebrating the official launch of our partnership, we are also proud to introduce our first collaborative initiative: the ‘OEM Spotlight Series’. This service includes a comprehensive video package allowing OEMs to effectively showcase their latest models. This service will focus on creating engaging and informative video content, highlighting each boat model’s unique features and technology, and providing safety tips—content created to attract potential buyers and boat enthusiasts within our vast audience.

Together as one, we will proactively engage with other valuable partners and associations ready to redefine this underserved yet critical part of the maritime industry. Furthermore, recognizing that current training opportunities are often seen as mere formalities that people skim through, we aim to develop modern education material and training tools that engage boaters and impart lasting knowledge.

“It is exciting to partner with Nautical Network to broaden the reach of How to Boating’s mission, to increase overall knowledge and safety on the water. We will work together to heighten the standards in the industry and will continue to translate difficult information into easy-to-understand visuals.” — Harley Hunt, Founder and CEO of How to Boating.
